Good4U 10 Tray Dehydrator with 40 Hour Digital Timer - Black Reviews
Be warned with 12 sq ft of drying space this is a sizeable counter top addition, I dislike that you cannot just turn it on and let it run, you have to set the timer for it to start running, but that is a nice safety feature (I can be forgetful)br /br /I have finally given it a break since I got it set up, and I have made some grawnola, bananas, apples, flax crackers, and a few other dried veggies for snacks and it has done an amazing job.br /br /I am sure someone will get one with a bad motor, or danaged tray at some point and give it bad reviews, but I personally enjoy it and think it was a wise investment.

not happy yet - customer -I did not order this product via Amazon but through another source. Because I was new to dehydrators I was not certain how much time it took for things to dry. I did a lot of research: read a lot and spoke to a lot of people who worked regularly w/ dehydrators. I figured there was a learning curve and I used the machine for a number of months, rarely getting the results I expected. I finally realized the motor/heat gauge on my dehydrator was malfunctioning and sent it back. I was sent another one and it arrived with the temp control knob broken off and no way to fix it. The knob had been attached with a incorrect component that was too short to fit from the knob into the dehydrator. (Also, the shelves had not been packed "evenly" and it was amazing they hadn't broken.) The next dehydrator I received was packed well, but there was one small screw and washer inside the machine, floating around, not attached to anything, and it was unclear where exactly it came from. I began using the dehydrator anyway, it seemed to work the first two days, but then it developed a rattle and the temp gauge again seems to be wrong. 105 degrees is very cool air. I do need to say I haven't put a thermometer inside to check. br /I feel like I bought a loser. I don't know who is assembling these simple machines, but it does not seem as if they are trained well. I can not vouch for the temp control. Simple crackers take beyond 40 hours to dry. I would go with a different brand if I did this again.
Amazing Dehydrator! - Chef Doogle -
I actually own 6 of these units (I dry fruits and vegetables for farmer's markets). Needless to say, owning 6 of them...these machines are marvelous. I have never had one go out on me (and in all reality, the construction of these is pretty simple...heating element, a fan, racks, and a timer). The space in the racks is perfect. The units run out quietly. I am a 100% believer in the STX Dehydra and would recommend them to any person looking to acquire a reliable and affordable entry-level dehydrator.
